HVAC Design Engineer

We are searching for an HVAC Design Engineer who has experience in the design and engineering of commercial HVAC systems using AutoCAD.

 

We need someone with at least 5+ years experience. Degree a plus. P.E a major plus.

Environmental Scientist

We are seeking a highly-motivated Environmental Scientist for our office.

Duties and responsibilities include:

 

  • Conduct environmental field investigations including soil, groundwater, ambient air, indoor air, and surface water
  • Perform data entry, data analysis, and data summaries
  • Assist with preparation of reports and documents of environmental investigation results, including development of maps and figure using GIS or CAD
  • Conduct remediation activities in the field for petroleum and hazardous waste contaminated sites
  • Prepare reports and documents of remediation results
  • Conduct wetlands delineation and NEPA investigations supporting transportation projects
  • Conduct stream assessments supporting stream restoration design projects

 

Job Requirements:

Education/Requirements:

 

  • BS in environmental sciences, geology, or degree in related field
  • OSHA 40-hour hazardous worker training (not prerequisite for hire)
  • Work experience or internships preferred
  • Mechanical and electrical skills preferred

 

LEED Accredited

 

  • Experience using GIS and/or AutoCAD preferred

BIM Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for assisting the BIM manager in furthering the implementation of BIM within the corporation.
  • Provide point of contact support for Revit and Bentley BIM products.
  • Train and mentor staff on the use of Revit and Bentley BIM Applications.
  • Develop project specific implementation and collaboration strategies.
  • Assist Project Teams at Project Startup in developing initial BIM Model.
  • Provide project BIM management.
  • Involvement in internal BIM user group and standards committees.
  • Coordinate the organization and expansion of BIM content and detail libraries.
  • Work to leverage existing non-BIM content within BIM product.
  • Ability to communicate BIM concepts to all levels of design and delivery leadership

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, with three to five years experience in design or construction practice
  • Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and/or Bentley BIM software
  • Solid understanding of CAD applications and practices, with three to five years experience.
  • Familiarity with design, review, and/or visualization applications such as 3ds MAX, SketchUP, NavisWorks and the Adobe Creative Suite.

 

 

Computer Support Specialist

The major duties of the position will include the following:

 

  • Perform routine network administration.
  • Perform routine maintenance of IT subsystems such as back up, antivirus and email messaging.
  • Troubleshoot networks under the instruction of engineers.
  • Provide technical assistance to computer users.
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. Conduct training in order to develop personnel skills in the operations and capabilities of applications and systems.
  • Research, recommend, install, and test hardware, software, and network configurations for PC's and/or servers.
  • Provide technical support which includes installing, maintaining, and upgrading client hardware and software.
  • Provide basic training and assistance in connection with use of computer hardware and software to clients.
  • Manage the technical aspect of customer relationships including reporting on technical priorities and service requests, escalating issues to engineers as needed; liaising with vendors.
  • Create and maintain network documentation for clients.
  • Maintain Blackberry account and troubleshoot, and train users.
  • Provide support and utilize state of the art tools that provide powerful and integrated Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Computer-Integrated Facility Management (CIFM) solutions.
  • Have the ability to assist users in BIM (Building Information Modeling). B360 utilizes BIM to create designs that are multi dimensional and "intelligent." In addition, the BIM systems integrate scheduling (4-D) and cost (5-D) information into the model.
  • Provide management with strategic advise regarding utilization of information technology as a Business Development tool.

 

The minimum requirement of the position is a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, engineering, information systems or equivalent.

 

Knowledge of and practical background in CADD and/or BIM required. Background or knowledge in Business or Finance will be an additional advantage.

 

Two or more years of recent relevant work experience including experience installing computer hardware and software. Must have proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to prioritize tasks, plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Must have the ability to work with a diverse group of users with varying computer experience and aptitudes. The Computer Support Specialist must be: reliable, responsible, and dependable; careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks; pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude; analytical and use logic to address work-related issues and problems, willing to take on responsibilities and challenges; open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace Microsoft and other IT certifications would be helpful. Or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
